Preparing for your Senior Portrait
-Have hair cuts at least one week before your session.
-Bring hair grooming supplies with you.
-Bring both casual and dressy attire. Keep and mind that "trendy' attire dates quickly.
-Light colors look best on fair complexions and with lighter backgrounds.
-Darker colors look best with darker complexions, with
darker backgrounds and in formal portraits.
-Denim or earth tones look great in outdoor settings.
-Avoid large prints and busy patterns.
-Choose long-sleeved shirts and sweatshirts for most of your poses.
If you wear glasses, wear them for your portrait sessions. Consider having your lenses removed or borrowing a similar pair of frames without glass from your eye doctor.
Keep your makeup natural and fresh. You may want to use a little mascara and foundation even it you do not typically wear makeup.
Facial stubble cannot be removed in retouch. If you don't want five o'clock shadow, a fresh shave is a must.
